work space

I get a lot of inspiration for my creations  from the space I am working in . I am pretty fortunate that I have a large separate room and closet devoted to my work but I haven’t always had that much space. I’ve had to make do with the corner of a room before or worse a super small room such as the size of  a large closet. Something I’ve learned if you are not working with a lot of space  is it’s really important to invest in an organizing system. I don’t necessary mean money it’s probably worth more to invest time in sorting and organizing your craft in a way that best suits you. I am really a visual person so I use see through plastic or open shelves so I can see what I have or need. I also love to use cork boards to pin inspirations on like cute pictures or art I like.

These are some pictures of my old work space when all I had to work with was half of my living room.  Recently I moved and as I said before now have a whole room to myself so there are pictures of the transformation.

Even surrounding your self with simple positive influences like pictures of  family and pets or plants can really help release your creative juices.

Anyways I hope you will find some good advice or inspiration in this post along with a fun way for me to open up and share a little bit about me and my personal space. :)
